From a telephone association to the ocean of knowledge

We started to facilitate the everyday life of the people of Mikkeli more than 120 years ago, when we established Telefooniyhdistys (lit., “The Telephone Association”). Over the years, our group of companies has expanded to new locations and acquired new ICT skills in various sectors. Today, we operate in eight municipalities and employ over 165 professionals.

Mikkelin Puhelin Oyj is wholly owned by Mikkelin Puhelinosuuskunta, a cooperative with about 11,600 members and 20,000 shares. The company was founded in 1888 and it is part of the strong Finnet Group alliance.
